    Feel Virtual Reality

Hello, I’m Jonathan Palmer!

I’m a game developer & game designer in Seattle, WA.

My skills include C#, C++, Unity, game design, gameplay prototyping and even some Unreal engine experience.

I’m a strong advocate of gifs for game content – visuals speak much louder than text.

Microsoft

Currently, I work at Microsoft on Augmented Reality input prototypes.

I helped launch HoloLens 2! I contributed to HoloLens Tips & the Out of the Box experience.

I upgraded, reimplemented and ported various controls for Mixed Reality Toolkit, including the Pressable Button and Tooltips.

I was the UI designer for Custom Commands and I built several of the test samples (Automotive & Inventory).

I currently do rapid prototyping to solve and understand input & speech areas of interest for future AR hardware.

Attunement

My main side project is Attunement, a mobility brawler.

Draws core inspiration from Super Smash Bros and Avatar the Last Airbender.

Engage in an agile dance dodging attacks while trying to land hits with a plentiful variety of abilities.

I worked for a startup that made haptic feedback suits.
I built VR developer tools for the companies content partners and demos, like Desert of Danger for public events, including PAX East!

Education

I earned a Masters degree in Game Design and Development in 2016 from RIT while working under Ian Schreiber.

I achieved my Bachelors degree in the same field in 2014 along with a minor in Psych.
